FAQS
What do I do if I want to go somewhere or have a job?
You are free to work another job or enjoy a wonderful Friday night without any restrictions. The individual in your care must be cared for in accordance with their plan, per the standards. As an illustration, if you wanted to go out on Friday night, you would arrange for some respite staff (which you would be responsible for and has been approved by the agency) and have them stay with your person while you are away.

It is permissible for you to work another job if your loved one attends a day program or employment site for work. The important thing to remember is that you are in charge of meeting any requirements if the person gets sick, has an appointment, etc.
What does it pay?
This is all individual specific. The pay varies based on the need of the individual. Each individual is evaluated and the state sets their rate based on their needs. If over time things change for the individual, these can be looked at again.
Room and board rates may be developed separately and if the agency is chosen to be Representative Payee then we will work together to determine that amount.
